With a collection strongly influenced by the flamboyance of the dandy wardrobe, and full of headturning prints and textures, we wrapped it in a world of bubblegum plastic fantastic-ness. Shot by London based photographer Jens Langkjær – concept, creative direction and lookbook layout by us.
For ss17 Baum und Pferdgarten kept it close to home in more than one sense; The show was held in the brands flagship store- completely renovated for the occasion and the collection was as Baum und Pferdgarten should be- playful, eclectic and wonderfully colourful. First season for our next lookbook trilogy in a new chunky format shot by photographer Daniel Stjerne. The concept borrows from the aesthetics of art catalogues with handpainted covers and playing around with mirrors.
For the development of the new retail concept for Baum und Pferdgarten we worked on creating a signature interior to accentuate the collections without taking over. Like the designs of Baum und Pferdgarten the interior is an interesting mix of many things. Elegant and slim silhouetted racks, a signature blueish grey and a variety of surfaces like shiny mirror, green marble and concrete. The new interior will be rolled out in numerous future stores after the first stop in Magasin, Copenhagen.
With Baum und Pferdgarten one of our most important tasks is to always refine what is already good. This is why we always stick to our lookbook concept for 3 seasons. Fashion is a very impatient industry with a very personal product, and by insisting on not changing our minds every season we show the strong direction in the designs by Baum und Pferdgarten that also goes beyond the changing seasons.
